     Teaching aims:

     Let the students learn something about movie .

     To teach the students to how to talk about movies.

     To advise the students to see some good movies and not to see too many movies.

     The students will master these words and expressions:

     want , go , like , kind , do , action movie , comedy , romance , thriller.

     Do you want to go to a movie ? Yes, I do . / No , I don’t .

     Do you like to see an action movie /…? Yes, I do . / No , I don’t .

     What kind of movies do you like ? I like…and I like…but I don’t like….

     Grammar:

     Verbs: do , want , go , like .

      Use pictures to predict the language of a situation

     Step1.

     T: Do you like …?

     S: Yes, I do. / No, I don’t.

     T: Do you want to eat …?

     S: Yes, I do. I want to eat…/No, I don’t. I don’t want to eat…

     T: Use these pictures and practice the dialogue with your partner.

     Step2.

     T: What kind of food do you like?

     S1:I like fruits and meat.

     S2: I like fruits and vegetables…

     T: We like so many kinds of food. What about movies? Do you know movies?

     S: It’s a thriller.

     S: They are thrillers.

     T: Look at the poster, what kind of movies is it?

     S: It’s a cartoon.

     T: Great. Let’s read the words, then read together.

     T: Turn the book to P53.Finish it quickly.

     T: Practice the dialogue with your partner.

     T: Look at 1b, listen and circle the kinds of movies you hear.

     S: An action movie and a comedy.

     T: Great. I have two friends. The boy is Ben. The girl is Sally. They are talking about movies. Let’s listen and number the kinds of movies in the order you hear them. Look at 2a.

     S: Three, one, two and four.

     T: You are good. Listen again and draw a happy face and a sad face. If you don’t know the answers, you can draw a question sign. Do you understand?

     1.以小组为单位,上网查询其他电影类型的名称:如tragedy, science fiction等,了解其它有关电影的语言,看哪组获取的类型多,信息多。

     2.了解家人喜欢和不喜欢哪些电影,并记录下来,写一个汇报,改日在班上进行交流。
