近年来，我国高铁事业快速发展，取得举世瞩目的成就，为我国经济社会发展提供了重要支撑，显著提高了我国国际地位和国际影响力，令国人备感自豪。2007年9月29日，海南东环铁路开工动员大会在海口举行，拉开了海南省“一号工程”的建设帷幕。海南东环高铁去年年底开通运营以来，趟趟爆满、座无虚席，以安全、高效、舒适、便捷、经济的运输服务赢得社会各界的广泛赞誉，为海南各族人民群众带来了实惠。
